In Holland staat een kerk brings the stories of five hundred years of Protestantism a life, through 3D video mapping onto the front of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. The church serves as a screen for projections about how Protestantism has evolved since 1517 until now. In Holland staat een kerk is the first Dutch television production which combines video mapping, at such a large scale, with television.
The images are supported by live music by Stef Bos, Leona Philippo, the Eric van Tijn Band and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, led by American conductor James Gaffigan. The show is hosted by Jörgen Raymann. Additionally, Andries Knevel takes us on a journey through the country, visiting several experts.
