In First years, the time of my life, is about Nola, of whom a video is spread in school in which you can see her being dumped by her boyfriend Jesse. Because of her sadness and jealousy, she gets into even more trouble: she’s not allowed to come to school camp.
The popular Fenna takes advantage of the situation, because she wants to seduce Jesse. When Nola is at wits end and wants to prevent this, she gets help from an unlikely hero. Boy, a rebellious second grader, helps her out. Together they go on an adventure so Nola can stop Fenna and win Jesse back.
