The First Years is the first scripted reality teen series on television in the Netherlands. The show follows a group of students during their first year at high school.
The First Years shows identifiable themes and touching stories about love, loneliness, recklessness, eating disorders, physical appearances and bullying.
The First Years has received several awards, including: the Gouden Stuiver 2017, the Zapplive Award 2017 and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award 2017 and 2018.
